Diabetes care

The diabetes care at Baby/Delivery is quality assured. A group of midwives, together with doctors and diabetes nurses, has developed routines for the care of women with diabetes and their children.

New findings and topical matters affecting diabetes care in the county are discussed at joint meetings.

During delivery and the period at the Baby unit there is daily contact with diabetes nurses, who have met the woman and make checks on her insulin needs during the maternity care period.
